Students in the sixth form make an outstanding

contribution to the life of the school. The

Ecclesbourne School Sixth Form recognises that

enrichment activities are fundamental to the

holistic development of young people.

Formers become Prefects and are expected to

carry out important duties. There are also elected

positions for the Head Boys and Head Girls,

House captains and Student Council. Below are

some views from our students about the

enrichment programme:

“Peer Mentors helped me to relax and make friends in

my new form.”

“Being a Community Ambassador gives you a real sense

of achievement.”

work with younger students in all the house events- even

better if you win!”

“Subject Mentors enabled me to think about my studies

in a different way, they helped me to get GCSE grades

that I was proud of.”

Year 11 student

“Spoken English demonstrates the importance of having

a voice that stands apart from the crowd, not out of

requirement, but out of a desire to be individual.”
